One of the places we visited during our last days in San Fransisco, was the Stanford University. Stanford is a really beautiful place, with its admiring buildings, statues, flowers, lawn, and gardens, it felt like I was in a palace square. It was so clean and neat, and most of all, it looked like a really expensive place to study.

Interestingly, Stanford University is a non-profit college, meaning it is a research university that use their profit to finance research. In other words, Stanford University is first and foremost designed to serve student's interests. With its 95% graduation rate, the institution focuses on providing quality education to students, helping them finishing their college degrees and achieve career success. Hence why the tuition costs for an academic year at Stanford are $66,676. That is unbelievably expensive!

A fun fact, comparing Stanford to Harvard, is that Stanford is slightly more difficult to get in. Whilst the acceptance rate for Harvard University is 6.0%, the acceptance rate for Stanford University is 5.1%. Out of 42.000 yearly applicants, Stanford University accepts only 2.100 students of those.
