The last couple of days we have been trying to look at some charities that we would like to cooperate with. Our idea to work closely with a charity has been on our minds since we started this project. We all think it would be a really good to give something back to the community. The question we are concerned about is how are we going to collaborate? And most importantly which charity are we going to choose?
Basically, when we had our first idea to create tote bags, we wanted to add some shapes of animals onto the bags made of reflective tape. That reflective tape would be visible in the dark and the idea of shaping it like animals, sounded really cool. So we wanted to find a charity that works with animals.
But now, as we have changed our products to something completely different, working with an animal charity wouldn't suit for our brand concept. We were thinking of working with a children's charity. Our products are cute with adorable designs that any child would love to have. Our market suits really well for the young adults. One of the charities that we have looked into is working with supporting children with skills needed in schools, named National Literacy Trust. They provide literary resources to boost children's skills in reading, writing and speaking.
We were thinking of making donations to that charity, 50 pence for each product sold. But we need to somehow link it more, such as think about why are we choosing this charity over others, and how can both parties benefit from collaborating with each other.
